For sale is a 1938 Martin D-28 Herringbone. This is an exceptionally fine sounding and playing guitar, very loud and focused. Recent professional neck set and re-fret with period correct wire. New, old stock replacement Martin bridge. Original tuners, top nut, inlay, pick guard and bridge plate. All bracing is original and intact. Neck stamped Dec 22nd, 1938. Only 121 D-28's were made this year. 1/34" nut width and no tongue brace. Possible refin but definitely over sprayed at some point well over 50 years ago.

For sale in the shop is a very fine late 1939 D-18. Very rare tortoise headstock overlay. Well loved and played but not abused. A few well repaired cracks. This guitar has it all. 1-11/16" top nut, Adirondack top, scalloped braces. A wonderful prewar/wartime guitar. It's a two owner instrument. Period correct bridge replacement and professional neck set. A pure joy to play. Lots of volume and perfect action, very friendly.
